Yes, you heard me right. Eat more DATES!

Don’t know much about them? Well, they are known as the healthy and natural sweetener. Easily replace sugar or honey with some dates and viola!

Quick ideas for when you use dates… Try replacing honey with dates in your smoothies. Adding chopped up dates to roasted carrots to add sweetness and a glaze. Adding to your yogurt or granola. Add them to your Paleo energy bars – they help bind everything together and makes them taste great.

Bringing it back to 1992… Just think…stuffed with peanut butter then rolled in white sugar! That’s how I was first introduced to dates. They were served at the Thanksgiving table – one of my Grandfathers favorite treats. The salty sweet combination is amazing…along with the chewy bite of the date! Kinda perfect.

But alas, rolling something in white sugar isn’t the healthiest…There are many more ways to use them.
